Tour Host Carlos Fida: Carlos is a native of Argentina where he held teaching positions at the University of Patagonia and at the Military Academy. He has lectured for university groups on the rich history of pre-Colombian and modern Latin American history.
Carlos immigrated to the United States and, after working for five years in the travel industry, earned his Certified Travel Agent degree, (C.T.C.) in 1985. Since then, he has devoted 40 years of his life as a highly qualified specialist in Latin American travel.
Carlos was instrumental in setting the Latin American programs for LAN Vacations and United Vacations and was nominated among the top specialists in Latin American Travel by Travel & Leisure Magazine starting in 2006. His travels around the world have taken him to every corner of Central and South America and many other exotic countries. Carlos brings passion to every tour he takes. He shares his experiences of years living dangerously in a country ruled by militaries for more than 30 years. Carlos knows the countries first hand and loves their people; they are also his people.
